Men's Soccer Earns Tie At ODU
Brian Banahan's late equalizer gives Gamecocks 1-1 tie on Sunday
NORFOLK, Va. —- South Carolina men’s soccer played to a 1-1 tie after two overtime periods on Sunday against Old Dominion. ODU took a 1-0 lead at the 54-minute mark before Brian Banahan’s finish on the penalty kick in the 83rd minute gave the Gamecocks the late equalizer to send the match to overtime.
The goal was Banahan’s fourth of the season.
The Monarchs held a 13-10 advantage in shots and 4-3 advantage in corners.
