Hannah Darling Medals at European Team Championship

NEWCASTLE, COUNTY DOWN, Northern Ireland – Incoming South Carolina women’s golf freshman Hannah Darling earned medalist honors in the stroke play portion of the 2021 European Ladies’ Team Championship on Tuesday at Royal County Down Golf Club. 

Darling posted a first round 5-under (68) on the par-73 course, including an eagle on the third hole and four birdies, finishing the round with back-to-back birdies on holes 17 and 18. She followed that with a 4-under (69) in the second round, bookending her round with eagles on one and 18 to finish atop the leaderboard with a 9-under score for the tournament. 

The incoming freshman is representing her native Scotland in the tournament, helping the Scots earn the top seed for the match play portion of the tournament set to begin on Thursday.
