Gamecocks in the Minor Leagues - July 17

The 2021 Minor League Baseball season is in full swing and the Gamecocks are well represented with more to come after the MLB Draft. Here’s an update on the Gamecocks in the Minor Leagues.
 
Triple A

• Grayson Greiner has split time between Detroit and Toledo this season. He currently is on the Toledo Mud Hens and has three doubles, a home run and six RBI in 17 games played.
• Tyler Johnson has made 17 appearances for the Charlotte Knights this season and has 21 strikeouts in 15.2 innings pitched.
• Max Schrock has split time between Cincinnati and Louisville with an injured list stint in between. Schrock is hitting .339 with the Bats with a pair of doubles and three home runs in 18 games. Schrock has eight RBI to along with a .900 OPS.
• Tyler Webb has been in both St. Louis and Memphis in 2021. He has pitched in 10 games for the Redbirds with 19 strikeouts in 13.1 innings pitched.
• Jack Wynkoop currently is on the injured list for Albuquerque, but before that was 2-0 with a 2.83 ERA and 22 strikeouts in 12 appearances for the Isotopes.

 
Double A

• Jonah Bride is hitting .322 with four doubles, a triple, five home runs and 19 RBI for the Midland Rockhounds. Bride has a 1.002 OPS and 28 hits in 25 games played in Midland.
• Carlos Cortes is hitting .262 with 22 doubles, one triple, 10 home runs and 39 RBI for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies. Cortes has a .502 slugging percentage and has 22 walks in 57 games played.
• Eddy Demurias has played both in Dayton and Chattanooga this season and combined, has a 0.69 ERA with 29 strikeouts in 26 innings pitched. Demurias has two saves and two holds on the season.
• Adam Hill is 3-1 with a 4.33 ERA and 48 strikeouts in 10 starts for the Arkansas Travelers this season. Hill has a 1.44 WHIP for the Travelers.
• TJ Hopkins is hitting .306 with 12 doubles, six triples, two home runs and 23 RBI for Chattanooga this season. Hopkins has a .374 on-base percentage in 53 games played in 2021.
• Reid Morgan is 3-3 with 29 strikeouts in 31.2 innings pitched for Arkansas this season. He has one hold in 17 appearances for the Travelers.
• Cody Morris has made three starts after beginning 2021 on the injured list. He has a 0.73 ERA and 21 strikeouts in 12.1 innings pitched this season.
• John Parke has two wins and 42 strikeouts in 12 appearances and 10 starts in Birmingham in 2021. Parke has a 1.35 WHIP and one complete game for the Barons.
• Madison Stokes is hitting .265 with 12 doubles, a triple, eight home runs and 25 RBI for the Reading Fightin’ Phils this season. Stokes was named the Phillies MILB Defender of the Month for July.
• Dom Thompson-Williams has played in 34 games for Arkansas and has four doubles and three home runs to go along with 14 RBI for the Travelers.
• Braden Webb has made 25 appearances for the Biloxi Shuckers and has a pair of saves and two wins to go along with 39 strikeouts in 28.2 innings pitched.

 
High A

• Alex Destino has played in 56 games for the Winston-Salem Dash and has eight doubles, two triples and 10 home runs to go along with 31 RBI.
• Graham Lawson is 1-1 with a 2.70 ERA and 18 strikeouts in 20 innings pitched in 17 games for the South Bend Cubs. Lawson has a 1.50 WHIP and one hold in relief for the Cubs.
• Carmen Mlodzinski recently went on the injured list but was 2-2 with a 2.63 ERA and 54 strikeouts in 41 innings of work for the Greensboro Grasshoppers. Mlodzinski has a 1.00 WHIP in nine starts this season.
• Jacob Olson has split time between Iowa and South Bend this season. He has a combined 10 doubles and a home run with eight RBI in 37 games played.

 
Low A

• Luke Berryhill is hitting .295 with nine doubles, 10 home runs and 32 RBI for the Fayetteville Woodpeckers this season. Berryhill has a 1.068 OPS in 34 games played in 2021.
• Noah Campbell is hitting .284 with 10 doubles, two triples, two home runs and 24 RBI for the Carolina Mudcats this season. Campbell has 40 runs scored in 47 games played in 2021.
• TJ Shook currently is on the injured list but was 2-0 with a 3.21 ERA and 21 strikeouts in 14 innings pitched in three games for Carolina this season.

 
Independent

• Anthony Amicangelo is hitting .353 with eight doubles, two triples, two home runs and 26 RBI for the Billings Mustangs in the Pioneer League.
• Kyle Martin is hitting .296 with 16 doubles, two triples and 16 home runs for the Winnipeg Goldeneyes of the American Association. Martin also has a team-best 53 RBI.
• LT Tolbert is hitting .308 with 17 doubles, a triple, three home runs and 28 RBI in 52 games played for the Sioux City Explorers of the American Association.
