Roussin-Bouchard Announces Decision to Turn Pro

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Two-time First Team All-American Pauline Roussin-Bouchard announced she is turning pro earlier this week, foregoing her junior season with the Gamecocks, via her Instagram page. She made her professional debut on the Symetra Tour over the weekend at the Four Winds Invitational in South Bend, Ind.
 
Roussin-Bouchard finished T-4^th at the event after posting a 54-hole score of 208 (-8).
 
She finishes her illustrious career at South Carolina second in tournament wins and T-5^th with eight career top-five finishes. As a sophomore in 2020-21, Roussin-Bouchard was named SEC Player of the Year en route to helping the Gamecocks return to the NCAA Championships. She earned medalist honors in the stroke play portion of the SEC Championship after recording the lowest 54-hole score in program history (199). Roussin-Bouchard owns five of the six lowest 54-hole schools all-time at South Carolina. She also set the low 18 benchmark with an opening round 63 (-9) in a win at the 2021 Moon Golf Invitational.
 
Roussin-Bouchard will remain in Columbia to train and practice. She will also be continuing her education utilizing the Gamecock Student-Athlete Promise. The psychology major has excelled in the classroom and is a two-time WGCA All-American Scholar.
