Gamecock Block Party Postponed Due to Expected High Winds

Due to expected high winds on Saturday, the Gamecock Block Party has been postponed.

COLUMBIA – Due to expected high winds in Columbia on Saturday, the Gamecock Block Party at Founders Park presented by Palmetto Shirt Company scheduled for the Texas game on March 12 has been postponed.
 
Efforts to move the Gamecock Block Party to another date are ongoing. The block party also will occur on April 9 against Georgia and April 16 against Ole Miss. Those block parties will begin at 1 p.m. and 10 a.m., respectively.
 
The Gamecock Block Party, which will take place on Williams Street (beyond right field), will feature a kids zone as well as food and beer sales. Fans will have the chance to purchase tailgate spots in the Gamecock Block Party (Tailgate Information)
 
A ticket for the game is not required to attend the Gamecock Block Party.
 
The Gamecocks host No. 1 Texas for a three-game series beginning Friday night at 7 p.m. The game is on SEC Network Plus.
