Gamecocks Fall in Game One to Razorbacks

Game two between the Gamecocks and Razorbacks will be tomorrow at 2 p.m. ET

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The South Carolina softball team dropped the first game of its series against No. 7 Arkansas 12-0 Friday night (Apr. 29).
 
The Gamecocks put runners on base in four of the five innings, with their best chance for a run coming in the second inning. With two outs, Katie Prebble singled through the left side. Kassidy Krupit reached on an error, but the final out was recorded, stranding both runners. Jordan Fabian led off the third inning with a single through the left side, and Krupit led off the fifth getting hit by a pitch.
 
The Razorbacks scored all they would need in the bottom of the first, plating eight runs. They would add two more in the third and fourth innings.
 
Leah Powell took the loss in the circle, allowing five runs on four hits.
 
Game two between the Gamecocks and Razorbacks will be tomorrow, April 30, with first pitch scheduled for 2 p.m. ET
