Men’s Soccer Announced Seven Road Matches For 2022 Season
COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina’s men’s soccer team announced its road schedule for the 2022 season Tuesday (July 12). The seven away matches round out the season schedule, following the home schedule that was previously released.
South Carolina kicks off the regular season on the road, when they travel to Ohio State for a pair of matches. The Gamecocks take on the host Buckeyes August 25, before facing Dayton on Aug. 28.
After three home matches, Carolina plays its lone road match in the month of September when they travel to UNCW for a game on Sept. 13.
The Gamecocks open play in the month of October against West Virginia on the 1st, taking on a Mountaineers team that advanced the NCAA quarterfinals last season. West Virginia joined the Sun Belt Conference with the Gamecocks this season as affiliate members.
South Carolina hits the road for back-to-back Sun Belt matches when they take on Coastal Carolina on Oct. 14 and Old Dominion on Oct. 19.
Carolina’s final road match of the season has them travel to Georgia State for a match on Oct. 28, against an opponent that made the second round of the NCAA Tournament a season ago.
