LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA), announced that 12 South Carolina softball players have been named Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes.

The honor recognizes the academic prowess of softball players across the Association’s membership categories who earned a 3.5 GPA or higher for 2021-22. Across Division I, 2,155 student athletes earned the distinction.

Kelsey Oh led the way for Carolina, earning her fourth All-America Scholar honor. Bailey Betenbaugh, Riley Blampied, Kassidy Krupit, Karsen Ochs, and Madison Owens each earned their second honor. Olivia Cook, Jordan Fabian, Maddie Gallagher, Hannah Kumiyama, Katie Prebble, and Emma Sellers each were honored for the first time.

As a team, the Gamecocks were among the 150 Division I teams to earn a combined 3.0 GPA or better for the academic year. This marks the seventh consecutive year South Carolina has had double-digit players honored.
