Baseball to Host Gamecock Block Party at Founders Park This Spring
The first block party will take place on March 12 against Texas beginning at 1 p.m.
COLUMBIA – The University of South Carolina will host a Gamecock Block Party at Founders Park presented by Palmetto Shirt Company before three baseball games this season, the athletic department announced this afternoon (Thursday, Feb. 17).
The block party will start three hours before the March 12 game against Texas (1 p.m.), the April 9 game against Georgia (1 p.m.) and the April 16 game against Ole Miss (10 a.m.). The block party will close at the end of the first inning.
The Gamecock Block Party, which will take place on Williams Street (beyond right field), will feature a kids zone as well as food and beer sales. Fans will have the chance to purchase tailgate spots in the Gamecock Block Party with additional information to be released soon.
A ticket for the game is not required to attend the Gamecock Block Party.
The Gamecocks will open the 2022 season on Friday, Feb. 18 against UNC Greensboro. First pitch is at 4 p.m.
