Gamecocks in the MiLB Update - July 14

The 2023 Minor League Baseball season is coming off the All-Star Break and heading into the second half of the season. Here’s what the Gamecocks on the Farm have done in the first half of the MiLB season.

Triple A

• Luke Berryhill has played in 51 games for the Sugar Land Space Cowboys, the Triple A affiliate of the Houston Astros. Berryhill has 32 runs scored, six doubles, two triples, five home runs and 21 RBI on the year.
• Jonah Bride has split time between the Oakland Athletics and the Las Vegas Aviators this season. In Las Vegas, Bride is hitting .309 with 42 runs scored, 18 doubles, two triples, nine home runs and 41 RBI.
• Carlos Cortes has played in 65 games for the Syracuse Mets, the Triple A affiliate of the New York Mets. Cortes has scored 34 runs, has 14 doubles, a triple, six home runs and 24 RBI with a .730 OPS.
• TJ Hopkins has split time between the Cincinnati Reds and the Louisville Bats this season. In Louisville, Hopkins is hitting .321 with 42 runs scored, 15 doubles, 11 home runs and 37 RBI in 67 games played.
• John Parke has made nine appearances and seven starts on the mound for the Charlotte Knights, the Triple A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, this season. Parke has 26 strikeouts in 27.1 innings pitched.
• Max Schrock was activated from the injured list and is now back with El Paso Chihuahuas, the Triple A affiliate of the San Diego Padres. Schrock has two doubles, two home runs and nine RBI in 16 games in El Paso.

Double A

• Noah Campbell has split time between the Triple A Nashville Sounds and the Double A Biloxi Shuckers this season. In Biloxi, Campbell has 33 runs scored, seven doubles, three triples, five home runs and 24 RBI in 49 games played.
• Wes Clarke is playing for the Biloxi Shuckers, the Double A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers, and has 29 runs scored, 12 doubles, nine home runs and 40 RBI in 64 games played.
• Brett Kerry is 3-3 with a 4.45 ERA in 14 appearances and 11 starts for the Rocket City Trash Pandas, the Double A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels. Kerry has a pair of saves and 63 strikeouts in 64.2 innings pitched for Rocket City.
• TJ Shook also is playing for the Biloxi Shuckers and has made 14 appearances with four starts in 2023. Shook has a pair of wins and 59 strikeouts in 45 innings pitched.
• Madison Stokes has played in 59 games for the Reading Fightin Phils, the Double A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. Stokes is hitting .244 with 36 runs scored, 16 doubles, a triple, four home runs and 19 RBI.

High A

• Brady Allen was traded from Miami to Detroit at the end of May and has played in 37 games for the West Michigan Whitecaps, the High A affiliate of the Tigers. He is hitting .248 with 21 runs scored, nine doubles, seven home runs and 25 RBI.
• Colin Burgess has played in seven games for the West Michigan Whitecaps and has three runs scored, four hits and two walks. He also played in a pair of games with the Erie Seawolves and had a pair of RBI.
• Eddy Demurias currently is on a rehab assignment with the Dayton Dragons, the High A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. Demurias has a win in four appearances with five strikeouts in six innings pitched.
• Thomas Farr has made 14 starts for the Dayton Dragons in 2023 and has 60 strikeouts in 66.2 innings pitched with a 1.14 WHIP.
• Brannon Jordan has made 23 appearances for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, the High A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. Jordan is a perfect 3-0 with a 2.90 ERA and 32 strikeouts in 31 innings pitched.
• Daniel Lloyd has made 15 appearances and 11 starts for the Aberdeen Ironbirds, the High A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles. Lloyd is 4-3 with a 3.56 ERA and a save and has 64 strikeouts in 60.2 innings pitched.
• Reid Morgan is currently on the injured list, but made nine appearances and eight starts for the Everett AquaSox, the High A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. Morgan has a pair of wins and 35 strikeouts in 37.1 innings pitched.

Low A

• Julian Bosnic has made 21 appearances for the Bradenton Mauraders, the Low A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Bosnic is 2-1 with a 3.82 ERA and five saves. He also had 45 strikeouts in 35.1 innings pitched.
• Josiah Sightler also is on Bradenton and is hitting .500 with five runs scored, three doubles, three home runs and 14 RBI in nine games for the Mauraders.

Rookie

• Andrew Peters currently is on a rehab assignment for the ACL Angels and has three strikeouts and a win in a pair of appearances and 1.2 innings pitched.

Independent

• George Callil has played in 41 games for the Evansville Otters of the Frontier League and has a pair of home runs and 13 RBI to go along with 21 runs scored.
