NEW ORLEANS – South Carolina midfielder Ethan Dekel Daks has been named the Sun Belt Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference Tuesday (Oct. 10).
Dekel Daks helped the Gamecocks go 2-0 on the week with a pair of 1-0 wins over Jacksonville and Sun Belt Conference foe Old Dominion. He scored the game-winner against Old Dominion, handing the Monarchs their first loss of the season.
With 34 seconds left in the match, Dekel Daks drew a foul outside the 18-yard box. With the clock ticking down, Dekel Daks stepped up to take the free kick from 28 yards out. With five seconds left, he delivered for the Gamecocks with his third game-winning goal of the season.
