Gamecocks Face Hokies in Charlotte Friday

Tip-off slated for 9:30 p.m. (ET) in the finale of three game Hall of Fame Series
COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina hits the road for the first time this season with a neutral site matchup against Virginia Tech (1-0) in the He Gets Us Hall of Fame Series at the Spectrum Center in downtown Charlotte Friday night. Tipoff is slated for 9:30 p.m. (ET) with the ACC Network providing TV coverage.
Liberty will face Charlotte at 4:30 p.m. (ESPN+) followed by Virginia vs. Florida at 7 p.m. (ACC Network) with the Gamecocks and Hokies rounding out the trio of games.

The two teams have not met since Dec. 5, 1997 at the Harris Teeter Pepsi Challenge, a 74-73 win by the fifth-ranked Gamecocks at the Charlotte Coliseum. Melvin Watson led all scorers with 24 points in the game. B.J. McKie had 18 points and eight rebounds, scoring 15 at the free throw line.
South Carolina’s 2023-24 roster features three players from the Charlotte metro area in Stephen Clark, B.J. Mack and Jacobi Wright.
