Hoole to Represent Australia at Master’U BNP Paribas

Honfleur, France – South Carolina men’s tennis junior Casey Hoole has been selected to represent his home country of Australia at the 2023 Master’U BNP Paribas Championships in Honfleur, France. The Championships will begin on Friday, Dec. 1 and run through Monday, Dec. 4 at the Ligue de Normandie de Tennis Club.

The tournament, in its 16th edition, has invited eight national teams to participate for 2023 – Germany, Australia, Belgium, the United States, Great Britain, Ireland, Switzerland, and France.

The tournament is played in a unique team format where each team is comprised of three men and three women players. Teams dual against each other with the winner taking the best of 7 matches: two women’s singles, two men’s singles, one women’s doubles, one men’s doubles, and one mixed doubles.

This is just the second year that Australia has been invited to participate in the event and the Aussies are looking to improve upon their third-place finish in 2022. The entire six-man team from Australia is comprised of current and former NCAA players with Hoole being joined by three other SEC athletes.

Hoole is currently ranked No. 92 by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association and sits at No. 1386 in the ATP rankings. This will be his first time representing Australia at this event.

More information on the championships and live scoring can be found on the Master’U BNP Paribas Championships website.
