South Carolina to Host USATF Officials Certification Clinic

COLUMBIA, S.C. (Nov. 30, 2023) – The University of South Carolina is set to host a USATF Officials Certification Clinic on Saturday, December 9 at the Indoor Track and Field Facility.

The event will run from 12:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Check-in will be from noon to 12:30 p.m. No experience as an official or with track and field is required. The clinic will involve a mixture of hands-on training and classroom lecture. There is NO CHARGE for the clinic. Certified officials who work South Carolina Track and Field meets will be paid $125 per day and will be provided a shirt and meals while they work.

There will be plenty of opportunities for officials to work with the Gamecocks in 2024. Carolina is set to host seven home meets during the indoor and outdoor seasons.
