Emma Lane Named NCEA Reining Rider of the Month

WACO, TEXAS – Senior Emma Lane has been named the National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) Rider of the Month in Reining, as announced on Wednesday. This is Lane’s first NCEA Rider of the Month nod of her career.

Lane finished on a high note in November, taking down two ranked opponents and earning back-to-back MOPs for the first time this season. Her win over the No. 4 ranked Aggies (Nov. 3) helped South Carolina to their first overall Western victory against Texas A&M since 2018. Lane has now collected 10 MOPs in Reining throughout her career, moving her to the No. 3 spot in the South Carolina record books with the spring campaign still to come.

The rest of Gamecock Equestrian will be back in action against Auburn on Saturday, Feb. 3 at One Wood Farm.
