Merrifield to Headline Baseball's First Pitch Banquet

COLUMBIA – The University of South Carolina baseball team, in conjunction with the Gamecock Dugout Club, will have its annual First Pitch Banquet on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, at 6 p.m. at Seawell’s on 1125 Rosewood Drive in Columbia.

The event will include an introduction to the 2024 Gamecock baseball team, a buffet dinner and the chance to hear from Carolina alum and current Major Leaguer Whit Merrifield and Head Coach Mark Kingston as the Gamecocks prepare for the upcoming season.

Individual tickets are $80 with VIP tables for eight guests that include a Gamecock swag bag going for $1,000. Event sponsorships are $2,000 and include preferred seating for eight guests, two Gamecock swag bags and inclusion in the event program.

All proceeds directly support the Gamecock baseball enhancement fund.

Carolina opens the 2024 season on Friday, Feb. 16 against Miami (Ohio). First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
