Henceroth Signs With Gamecocks

Columbia, S.C. – South Carolina men’s tennis head coach Josh Goffi has announced the signing of Cole Henceroth of Midlothian, Va., to the team for the 2024-25 season. Henceroth is a product of the Junior Tennis Champions Center and will have four years of eligibility.

“We’re so glad that Cole is officially a Gamecock now!” said Goffi. “We can’t wait to get going with him! Just like the rest of his incoming class, he’s got a lot of upside and we believe that he’ll be a major asset in the coming years.”

According to tennisrecruiting.net, Henceroth is a five-star recruit and is currently listed as the No. 55 recruit in the nation. He joins the team with a 11.68 UTR and is at a career-high ITF Junior Ranking of No. 301.

Henceroth has two doubles titles under his belt in his young career – the 2023 J30 Eau Claire and the 2023 J100 Guayaquil. In addition to his titles, he has also been a doubles finalist at the 2022 J4 Santo Domingo, the 2023 J60 Salinas, and the 2024 J300 Barranquilla.

In singles Henceroth was a semifinalist at the 2023 J60 Santa Tecla and a quarterfinalist at the 2022 J3 Lima, the 2023 J30 Medford, the 2023 J60 Salinas, and the 2023 J100 Estado de Mexico.

Hencroth rounds out a loaded class for the 2024 men’s tennis team, joining Gabe Avram, Atakan Karahan, and Max Stenzer in signing with the program.
