COLUMBIA – The University of South Carolina baseball team went 3-1 on the week, defeating North Carolina in Charlotte and winning 2-of-3 games at No. 24 Florida.

NOTES:
Carolina picked up a 2-1 win over North Carolina on Tuesday night in Charlotte, its fourth win in the last five tries against the Tar Heels. Dylan Brewer had three hits, including the game-winning RBI double in the top of the eighth while Connor McCreery struck out five in relief to pick up his second win of the season.
Dalton Reeves had a pair of home runs in the Florida series and was 4-for-8 with a 1.375 slugging percentage in the three games against the Gators. Reeves is hitting .360 with four home runs and 12 RBI on the year.
Eli Jones struck out six in six innings in Friday’s 10-3 win over Florida. He allowed just five hits and a run with two walks to pick up his third win of 2024.
Parker Noland and Cole Messina each have 13-game hitting streaks after the weekend while Noland has reached base safely in the last 23 games. Messina was 6-for-13 with four runs scored and three RBI in the Florida series while Noland had four hits, three of which were for extra bases.
Carolina had 15 extra-base hits on the weekend, seven doubles, a triple and seven home runs. The Gamecocks slugged .554 in the three games.
Carolina visits The Citadel on Tuesday night before starting a three-game home series with No. 1 Arkansas at Founders Park.
