Softball Announces Complete 2025 Schedule
Opening Day
COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina softball head coach Ashley Chastain announced the team’s complete 2025 schedule today (Dec. 5). Carolina’s schedule features 30 non-conference games, 25 of which will be played at Carolina Softball Stadium at Beckham Field. The schedule is highlighted by a trio of home tournaments, along with a home-and-home matchup with Clemson, and weekend series against Duke and Texas Tech.
The season gets underway with the Gamecock Invitational Feb. 6-9, as South Carolina hosts East Carolina, Providence, Saint Francis (PA), Toledo, and Virginia. South Carolina faces Virginia Thursday and Friday, followed by a doubleheader against Providence and SFU Saturday, before closing out the weekend against ECU Sunday. It will be Carolina’s first matchup against Providence since 2012.
The following weekend South Carolina hosts the Carolina Classic Feb. 13-16 with App State, Georgia State, Miami (OH), and Winthrop. North Carolina visits for a mid-week game Feb. 19, before the Gamecocks host the Garnet & Black Invitational Feb. 21-23 featuring Boston University, Fordham, and UNLV. BU visits for the second consecutive season, while it will be the first meeting against the Rebels since 2003.
Carolina hits the road for the first time when it travels to Charlotte Feb. 25 followed by a three-game series at Duke Feb. 28-Mar. 2 in a rematch of last year’s NCAA Regional Final.
Before kicking off SEC play, the Gamecocks host Youngstown State Mar. 5, and then open league play at defending National Champion Oklahoma Mar. 7-9. They return home to host Coastal Carolina Mar. 12 before the SEC home opener against Georgia Mar. 21-23.
During its SEC bye week, Carolina welcomes reining National Pitcher of the Year NiJaree Canady and the Texas Tech Red Raiders for a three-game series Mar. 21-23.
The first game of the Palmetto Series Presented by the South Carolina Education Lottery will take place in Columbia, as the Gamecocks and Tigers face off Mar. 25. Carolina follows that with a road trip to LSU Mar. 28-30.
South Carolina returns to Carolina Softball Stadium for a five-game homestand, where it takes on Wofford Apr.2, Ole Miss Apr. 4-6, and Charleston Southern Apr. 9.
A four-game road trip kicks off at Arkansas Apr. 11-13 and is followed by the second game of the Palmetto Series Apr. 15.
The Gamecocks return home to host Kentucky for their Monday series, which also falls on Easter Weekend, Apr. 19-21. A home game against Winthrop Apr. 23 leads into their final SEC road trip of the season at Auburn Apr. 25-27.
The final week of the season sees South Carolina host Furman on Apr. 29 before wrapping up the season May 1-3 against Alabama. The SEC Tournament will be hosted by Georgia and runs May 6-10.
Single game tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online or at the ticket tent on game days. Youth tickets are for 17 and under and can only be purchased on game day at the ticketing tent. A group ticket rate is available for groups of 15 or more for $4 a person. Group rates are available by calling ticket office at 803-777-4274.
