VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (Feb. 7, 2025) – South Carolina Track & Field opened the 2025 East Coast Invitational on Friday afternoon, securing four wins in the process.

The women’s squad was responsible for three of the four wins, beginning with McKenzie Travis in the women’s 60 meter sprint. JaMeesia Ford continued her dominance on the track, winning the 400m with a time of 52.61, finishing ahead of teammate Zaya Akins who clocked 53.11 for the runner-up finish. The final win for the Gamecock women came from freshman Omaria Gordon in the long jump, recording a jump of 6.04m (19-9.75).
