COLUMBIA – The University of South Carolina baseball team was 2-2 on the week, winning Wednesday’s game against Georgia State and taking Saturday’s game against No. 12 Oklahoma.

NOTES:
Jordan Carrion had seven hits on the week with a double, a triple and five RBI. He was 2-for-4 with three RBI in the 7-1 win over Georgia State. He had two hits in three at-bats in Saturday’s 11-5 win over Oklahoma and had two more hits Sunday against the Sooners. Carrion is hitting .359 with three doubles, a triple and nine RBI this season.

Nathan Hall is continuing his hot hitting. He had hits in all four games this week, upping his hit streak to 11 games. Hall is hitting .410 with seven doubles and 18 RBI and has a .495 on-base percentage.

Jarvis Evans Jr., earned the win on Wednesday against Georgia State, striking out seven in five innings of work. He allowed just four hits and a run with one walk to improve to 3-0 on the year.

Tyler Pitzer earned a save on Saturday, pitching the final four innings and not allowing a hit. He gave up an unearned run and struck out six in the 11-5 win.

Carolina plays four games away from Founders Park this week. The Gamecocks make the crosstown trip to Segra Park to face College of Charleston on Tuesday night and travel to Fayetteville for a three-game set at Arkansas this weekend.
