COLUMBIA – The University of South Carolina baseball team was 1-3 on the week, winning Tuesday night’s game against the College of Charleston in Segra Park before losing three games at No. 3 Arkansas.

NOTES:
Jarvis Evans Jr., had another quality start for the Gamecocks in the 4-3 win over College of Charleston. The southpaw struck out five and allowed just five hits and a run in six innings of work. Evans is a perfect 3-0 on the season with a 3.42 ERA and 27 strikeouts in 26.1 innings pitched.

Nathan Hall continued his solid season as he had three hits in Sunday’s game at Arkansas, including a home run on the second pitch of the game. Hall is hitting .404 on the year with three home runs and 20 RBI.

Beau Hollins hit his first career home run in Sunday’s game against Arkansas. With that home run, 11 different Gamecocks have hit home runs this season. Carolina has 23 home runs this year.

Carolina will play its annual game against North Carolina in Charlotte on Tuesday night before coming home to Founders Park to host No. 1 Tennessee in a three-game SEC series this weekend. Sunday’s game will be televised on SEC Network.
