Baseball Falls To Texas A&M Friday Night

COLLEGE STATION – The University of South Carolina baseball team fell 17-0 to Texas A&M in seven innings Friday night (April 11) at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.

The Aggies scored four runs in the first with the big hit a two-run single from Kaeden Kent. Texas A&M also scored on a bases-loaded hit by pitch and a sacrifice fly by Blake Binderup. Kent connected on a two-run home run in the third for a 6-0 Aggie lead. Texas A&M added two runs in the fourth, seven in the fifth with a Bear Harrison grand slam highlighting the frame, and one in the sixth.

Beau Hollins had two of Carolina’s five hits on the day. Matthew Becker took the loss, allowing six runs on four hits with five strikeouts in three innings.
