Women’s Tennis Set For 2025 Fall Campaign

COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina women’s tennis head coach Kevin Epley announced the 2025 fall schedule, featuring one traditional tournament, an ITF professional event, and three ITA competitions that offer players opportunities to qualify for the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships in November.

For the fifth consecutive season, the Gamecocks will open their fall slate at the Debbie Southern Classic hosted by Furman in Greenville, S.C., from Sept. 12-14.

Select Gamecocks will then compete at the ITA All-American Championships in Cary, N.C., Sept. 20-28. The first four days consist of pre-qualifying and qualifying rounds, with the main draw beginning on Sept. 24. From this event, 10 singles and four doubles entries will advance to the NCAA Championships.

After a brief break, South Carolina returns to action at the Carolina Regional Championships in Chapel Hill, N.C., Oct. 16-21. The 13 regional sites produce 26 singles and 13 doubles NCAA qualifiers, with the two singles finalists and doubles champion from each region earning automatic qualification.

Players who qualify will also have the opportunity to compete professionally at the ITF W15 Hilton Head event, Oct. 20-26.

The Gamecocks will conclude ITA competition at the Sectional Championships in Chapel Hill, Nov. 6-9, providing a final chance to earn NCAA berths. Semifinalists and the top three doubles teams from each site will qualify for the Championship.

The fall campaign concludes with the NCAA Singles & Doubles Championships, Nov. 17-23 in Orlando, featuring 64 singles and 32 doubles entries.
