Gamecocks Wrap Up Day Four of ITA Regionals
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – South Carolina wrapped up day four of the ITA Regional Championships on Sunday with junior Kaitlyn Carnicella advancing to the singles quarterfinals in Chapel Hill.
In today’s round of 16, Carnciella defeated Alana Boyce from UNC, 7-5, 6-3, to punch her ticket to the quarterfinals. She will take on nine-seed Savannah Dada-Mascoll of Appalachian State tomorrow at 11 a.m.
The doubles team of Bella Berqvist Larsson and Carnicella began the day with a win over their opponent from UNC, advancing them to the quarterfinals. The duo didn’t stop there as they defeated Amelie Smejkalova and Gaia Parravicini from Clemson, 8-5, to move on to the next round.
