Baseball Faces Charlotte, Charleston This Week
The University of South Carolina baseball team will have two Fall games against outside competition this week as the Gamecocks hosts Charlotte on Sunday, Nov. 2 at 1 p.m. and travel to Riley Park for a game against the College of Charleston on Thursday, Nov. 6 at 6:30 p.m.
The game against the 49ers at Founders Park will be 12 innings, while the game in Charleston against the Cougars will be a nine-inning contest.
Charlotte is coming off a 2025 season that saw the 49ers go 36-22 overall and 18-9 in the American. Dawson Bryce and Spencer Nolan both return after hitting .340 while Cody Gunderson had a .331 batting average. Bryce hit 14 home runs for Charlotte last season. On the mound, Andrew Kribbs made 16 starts and was 3-2 with a 4.15 ERA in 2025.
Charleston was 37-22 overall and 15-12 in the Coastal Athletic Association last season. The Cougars return Dylan Johnson, who hit .296 with seven home runs and 49 RBI last season. On the mound, Alex Lyon was 10-1 with a 3.47 ERA in 31 appearances.
