Jathiyah Muhammad Receives Second SEC Weekly Honor

COLUMBIA, S.C. (Feb. 3, 2026) – For the second time in four weeks, Jathiyah Muhammad has received an SEC weekly award as she was named Co-SEC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week as announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.

Muhammad competed in the Razorback Invitational this weekend and was up to the task, improving on her school record in the indoor pole vault when she cleared 4.50m (14-9) to outlast a competitive field. Muhammad’s clearance moved her into fourth on the NCAA leaderboard this season. The Arizona transfer has now won all three indoor pole vault events that she has competed in this season, breaking the program record twice in three attempts.

Muhammad and the rest of the Gamecocks will return to action on Friday, Feb, 6 and Saturday, Feb. 7 when they play host to the Carolina Classic at the Carolina Indoor Track & Field Facility.
