Baseball Moves NKU Series to Doubleheader Friday; Single Game Saturday

COLUMBIA – Due to the forecast of heavy rain Saturday night into Sunday, the University of South Carolina’s opening weekend series against Northern Kentucky has changed to a doubleheader on Friday and a single game on Saturday.

The Gamecocks and Norse will open the 2026 season on Friday, Feb. 13 with a doubleheader that will begin at 1 p.m. Game two of the doubleheader will begin approximately 45 minutes after the conclusion of the first game. The series will conclude with the regularly scheduled Saturday game (Feb. 14) beginning at 2 p.m. All three game will be 9-inning contests.

TICKET INFORMATION: Individual game ticket holders who have the Friday, February 13th SERIES GM1 reserved tickets will be able to sit in their seats for the 1 p.m. game until the game concludes and then move to the Corner Pantry Berm/SRO areas or the outfield bleachers for the second game of the doubleheader.

Individual game ticket holders who have Sunday, February 15th SERIES GM3 reserved tickets can come in for the Friday 1 p.m. game and go to the Corner Pantry Berm/SRO areas or outfield bleachers and then move into their seats when the 1 p.m. game concludes.

Individual game ticket holders who have Saturday, February 14th SERIES GM2 reserved ticket will stay the same and have their reserved seats for Saturdays game.

Game 1 – Friday, Feb. 13 – 1 p.m.
Game 2 – Friday, Feb. 13 – 45 minutes after the conclusion of game one
Game 3 – Saturday, Feb. 14 – 2 p.m.
