Gamecocks Dominate in Final Day of Valentine Weekend

CLEMSON, S.C. (Feb. 14, 2026) – Two program records fell and seven Top 10 program marks were recorded on a busy Saturday as South Carolina Track & Field capped off a split weekend at both Clemson and Boston.

The Gamecock men, competing at the Tiger Paw Invitational, won all four events that they competed in. The 4x400m relay squad of Josiah Wrice, Jasauna Dennis, Devan Crumpton and Andrew Salvodon put on a display with not just a program record, but the second fastest relay time in collegiate history after running 3:00.86. Wrice opened with a 45.42 split, before handing off to Dennis who clocked a 45.15 400m leg. Crumpton was able to keep the Gamecocks comfortably in front with a 45.28 leg, handing the baton off to Salvodon who was able to close things out by running a 45.02 split.

Tyson Williams secured an individual win on the track, doing so in the men’s 200m sprint after crossing the line in 20.51. Khaliq Muhammad and Logan Montgomery earned a pair of field event victories in the invite section of both the pole vault and the shot put. Muhammad was able to clear 5.35m (17-6.5) for a new personal best and the fifth best pole vault in program history. Montgomery set indoor personal bests in back-to-back throws of the shot put, launching 19.41m (63-8.25) in the fifth round before throwing 19.64m (64-5.25) in the final round for the solo win. The Florida transfer’s new indoor PR now ranks sixth in Gamecock history.

The Gamecock women’s distance squad, competing at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational in Boston, recorded Top 10 program marks in three of the five events on the day. Salma Elbadra made her season debut in the indoor mile and broke her own program record, running 4:27.54 to finish sixth overall in the invite section. Elbadra’s new program record is good enough for Top 10 on the NCAA leaderboard this season.

Abigail White and Eline Mast also climbed the all-time program leaderboard for the indoor mile. White turned in a new personal best time of 4:43.15 in the open section of the event, finishing seventh overall with the fifth fastest mile mark in Gamecock history. Mast was able to run 4:48.14 for the ninth fastest mile time in program history, doing so in the invite section.

Jade Buridon made her 800m collegiate debut on Saturday afternoon, crossing the finish line in 2:06.60 of the invite section. The French native was able to climb the program’s all-time indoor 800m leaderboard, sitting sixth overall following her debut.

The Gamecock sprinters also put in work at Clemson, running in the 200m on the final day of competition. JaMeesia Ford made her indoor 200m season debut, running 22.61 for the second fastest time in the NCAA this season. Alexis Brown followed Ford’s runner-up finish with a fifth-place sprint of 23.09, marking a new season best for the Lenoir-Rhyne transfer.

South Carolina will conclude the indoor regular season next Saturday, Feb. 21 with the final home event of the 2026 calendar season. The Gamecocks will play host to the USC Invite at the Sheila & Morris Cregger Indoor Track. The USC Invite will also serve as Senior Day for several seniors.
