2021
Indoor: Ran at two meets for the Gamecocks … Ran in the 60 meters and 200 meters at the South Carolina Invitational and USC Indoor Open … Ran a season-best in the 60 meters at the South Carolina Invitational with a time of 7.22 … Ran a season-best in the 200 meters at the USC Indoor Open with a time of 22.68.
Outdoor: Ran in eight races at six meets … Doubled in the 100 and 200 meters at the Gamecock Invitational and USC Open … Earned a top-10 finish in the 100 meters at the Charlotte Invitational … Ran a season-best in the 100 meters at the Gamecock Invitational, clocking in with a time of 11.00 seconds … Ran a season-best time in the 200 meters at the Gamecock Invitational with a time of 22.43.
2020
Indoors: Had his season limited due to injury, competing in two meets for Carolina… Competed at the Orange and Purple Elite in the 60m, finishing in 15th with a PR of 7.04… Followed that up with a 7.17 at the USC Indoor Open in the 60m… Ran the 200m at the USC Indoor Open, finishing in 24th in a time of 22.58.
Outdoors: Cancelled.
2019
Indoors: Ran both the 60 and the 200m, setting new personal bests in each… opened his season with a 60m PR, 7.08, at the Clemson Opener… posted a new 200m PR at the USC Indoor Open, 22.15.
Outdoors: Took part in both the 100m and 200m, competing in four meets… ran a new 100m personal best, 10.92, at the Gamecock Invitational… came up with a season-best 200m time of 22.15 at the Gamecock Invitational… part of the 4x100m relay squad that claimed third place at the Buccaneer Invitational.
2018
Indoors: Participated in the 60m and the 200m… ran his best 60 time at the Clemson Invitational, finishing 22nd with a time of 7.21… also ran his top 200 time at Clemson, 22.98.
Outdoors: Was a consistent contributor in the 100m and the 200m as well as the 4x100m relay… ran his best 100 time at the Tennessee Relays, 11.06… came back the next week at the USC Open to post his best 200 time, 22.13, at the USC Open… was part of the SEC Championships roster, finishing 26th in the 100 and 29th in the 200.
High School:
Ran for head coach Matt DeLoach at Jefferson Forest High School, where he earned four letters… Earned all-state and first-team all-region honors… Set school records in the 200m and 4x100m relay… Twice qualified for New Balance Nationals and earned Virginia Commonwealth Games titles in the 100m and 4x100m relay… Was a National Honor Society member.
Personal:
Son of Steve and Laura Howard… Has one twin sister, Mason… His father played baseball at Lynchburg College… Majoring in exercise science… Chose Carolina because he liked the campus, the people, and the opportunities for academic success.
