Jacob Higgs

Jacob Higgs joined the South Carolina as a Director of Compliance in June of 2023.

Higgs came to Columbia after a six-year stint in the compliance office at Kennesaw State University. He served the Owls as a compliance coordinator from 2017-2019, then was promoted to Assistant Director, a position he held from 2019-2023.

Higgs began his professional career as a graduate assistant in the compliance department at Nova Southeastern University from 2016-17.

Higgs holds a bachelor’s degree in sports management from the University of West Georgia in 2014 and a master’s degree from Shorter University in 2015.

He and his wife, Paige, have two children, Natalie and Henry.
