Madison Brayman Bio

2018-19: Earned SEC Rider of the Month and NCEA Rider of the Month in Equitation Over Fences for the month of November… Went 9-6-1 over fences with a 3-5 mark in the SEC…  Tallied an Equitation on the Flat record of 11-8-1, including 4-6-1 against SEC opponents… Helped advance the Gamecocks flat finals at the NCEA Championships… Compiled four flat MOPs and two fences MOPs… Served as the Hunter Seat captain during the 2018-19 season… Competed 36 for Carolina during her senior year.

2017-18: Competed 15 times in both hunt seat disciplines in her first season with the Gamecocks… Went 9-5-1 (5-0-1 SEC) in equitation over fences and 7-7-1 (3-2 SEC) in equitation on the flat… Earned three MOP awards, including two on the flat and one in jumping… Earned a whopping 77-55 victory over her Clemson opponent in equitation on the flat during the Sept. 22 exhibition… Won two points at Texas A&M Sept. 29 in her regular-season Gamecock debut… Also won twice at South Dakota State on Oct. 13, including an 87-83 flat MOP win… Was a flat winner Oct. 27 in the victory over Oklahoma State… Won her fences point Nov. 3 against Georgia… Earned victories in both disciplines Nov. 17 against Auburn… Grabbed two points Feb. 10 against Texas A&M, including an 80-70 flat MOP win… Collected a flat point March 2 against Baylor… Finished the regular season with a 90-70 jumping win over Fresno State to pick up MOP laurels… Earned a 155-154 victory in equitation over fences March 30 against Georgia in the SEC Championship semifinals… Picked up a flat win over TCU on April 18 in the NCEA Championship flat first round… Added a point the same day against Baylor in the NCEA fences first round.

Prior to Carolina: Competed for two seasons at New Mexico State… Was an NCEA First-Team All-America selection as a sophomore in 2016-17.

High School: Brayman is from Charlestown, R.I., and will ride for the Hunter Seat team… She was named the 2014 Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) Leading Hunt Seat Rider of the Year and was the winner of the 2014 Varsity Open Championship Class at the Interscholastic Equestrian Association National Championships… Brayman was the 2011 United States Equestrian Federation Small Pony Hunter National Champion and has placed in the Top 5 at Zone 1 ASPCA Maclay Hunter Seat Equitation Regionals… Brayman has qualified for Devon, Indoors, USEF Medal Finals, and ASPCA Maclay Finals and has numerous wins at some of the biggest `AA’ shows in the country, including WEF, Devon, Capitol Challenge, Washington International, Kentucky National, and Penn National.
