Quinn Brandt Bio

2019-20: Named to the NCEA All-Academic Honorable Mention team… made the SEC Academic Honor Roll… rode in six meets for the Gamecocks and posted a 2-4-0 horsemanship record… went 1-2-0 in SEC competition… scored a season high 75 in a season opening 75-74.5 win against Fresno State (Sept. 20) … tied her season high in a 75-71 win against Auburn (Oct. 25).  

2018-19: Named to the Farnam All-Academic Second Team… Earned a spot on the APHA Academic Honor Roll… Compiled a Horsemanship record of 8-9-1… Went 4-6 against SEC opponents… Took two MOPs on the season… First against TCU with a 78.5 (Feb. 9)… Got her second MOP at Georgia with a 75.5 (March 2)… Earned a victory in the first round of the horsemanship championship against Fresno State (April 17).

2017-18: Competed 13 times in her first season with the Gamecocks… Went 1-11-1 in official meets… Earned a victory over her Clemson opponent in the exhibition opener on Sept. 22… Added another exhibition win against Ohio State on Jan. 27… Collected a regular-season victory Feb. 3, when she scored a 72.5-69.5 victory at SMU.

High School: Graduated from Steinbach Christian High School in Steinbach, Manitoba…. trained by Della Cryderman and Bruce Walquist… Picked South Carolina over SMU, TCU and New Mexico State… Finished Top 5 and Top 10 at the Youth World Cup representing Team Canada in horsemanship and showmanship in 2012 and 2014… Multiple AQHYA World Show Qualifier… Canadian National Champion… Multiple reserve champion in 2010 and 2011… Manitoba 50/50 two-year old futurity top 10 finish… High Point Youth in 2011 and 2012… Was the Badminton Athlete of the Year in 2011… Was also the captain of the Varsity basketball team… Finished with a 3.0 GPA in high school.
