- Played at 4A Westwood High School in Blythewood where he scored over 1,000 points for his career
- All-region and all-state selection as a senior for the Redhawks after averaging 21.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game
- Was a McDonald’s All-American nominee and helped South Carolina to a 118-99 win in the Carolinas Classic All-Star Game with 10 points
