Was the Gamecocks’ scoring leader as a freshman with a 74.11 stroke average…One of two players on the team to compete in all 10 events… Shared the team lead with three top-20 finishes… Led the team with seven rounds of par or better… Had the Gamecocks’ best individual finish, taking second place at his second collegiate event, shooting 69-67-70=206 (-7) at the Mason Rudolph Championship… His 54-hole score of 206 tied for the 10th-best total score in school history… Finished 14th at the Kiawah Intercollegiate with rounds of 71-81-74=226… Also tied for 14th at the Seahawk Invitational with rounds of 76-69-78=223… Had a hole-in-one on the seventh hole of the final round at the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate… One of two Gamecocks to win two matches at Callaway Collegiate Match Play…Defeated Baylor’s Ryan O’Rear, 3 & 2… Also took down Washington State’s Kent Hagen, 5 & 3… Fought hard against two of the nation’s top-ranked players – UCLA’s Patrick Cantlay and Georgia’s Russell Henley – in the Gamecocks’ first two matches…Finished 48th in first appearance at SEC Championship.

Set the school record for scoring at Harrison High School with a 71.4 average in 2009…Helped the Hoyas to a AAAAA state championship in 2008 and runner-up honors in 2009…Was team MVP and team captain… Qualfiied for match play at the 2008 U.S. Junior Amateur… Three-time Atlanta Junior Player of the Year… Two-time Georgia PGA Junior Player of the Year… Named 2009 Marietta Daily-Journal Boys Golfer of the Year…Was medalist in the 2009 Georgia State Amateur qualifier with a 66…Also qualified for the 2009 Georgia Open…In 2009, at age 16, was the second-youngest player to win at the 51st Cartersville Invitational (72-69); 14-year-old Bill McDonald won the title in 1980… Finished 2nd in 2009 Georgia PGA Junior Championship at 8-under… Won 2008 SJGT Terrapin Hills…Was an All-Academic Scholar Athlete at Harrison High…Finished high school with a 4.1 GPA.
