2002 —SEC Pitcher of the Week honors … Hit her first collegiate home run against East Tennessee State … Was used as a relief pitcher in most situations … Finished the 2002 season tied for sixth in the country in saves (6) … Combined with Stacey Johnson for her first career no-hitter in game two against Coastal Carolina … Won her first start in a 10-0 shut out against Ole Miss … In that same game, she recorded a career high 10 strikeouts … Recorded a 4-0 SEC record … Went 1-0 at the SEC Tournament when USC defeated Mississippi State … In Game 11 at the Columbia Regional, she entered as a reliever and pitched 3.2 innings against then top-ranked UCLA to collect her ninth victory of the year as USC defeated the Bruins 2-1 … She followed in game two with her second career start and pitched only her second career complete game … Despite the loss, she only allowed UCLA one run on three hits … In her total 9.2 innings pitched in the tournament, she went 1-1, recorded a 0.72 ERA, allowed one run on six hits and struck out five … Earned All-Regional Tournament team honors, becoming the first freshman pitcher to be named to a regional tournament team since Megan Matthews in 1999.
