Also tied for 11th in sacrifice flies (5) … Ranked third in career assists (302) and in fielding percentage (.968) for a Gamecock second baseman in the Southeastern Conference era (since 1997) … Fifth Charleston Southern (2/11) … Started for the first time against Georgetown (2/18) and never came out of the lineup…Against the Hoyas, she went 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI and two stolen bases … Starting with the game at Winthrop (3/2), she had a hit in nine of the next 10 games, including six two-hit games in the stretch … Four times in that period she drove in two runs while driving in three an additional time … Ended that span with a 2-for-3 performance with two runs and two stolen bases … Named SEC Freshman of the Week on March 8 for her exploits … Went 2-for-3 with her first PERSONAL: Dana Nichole Hathorn was born to parents Jim and Kelly … Her dad played baseball at LSU while her grandfather Conley played basketball for the Tigers … Conley was an All-SEC player in 1938 and was honored on one of LSU’s All-Decade teams … Has two older siblings: sister Rachel and brother Jimmy … Chose South Carolina over Villanova, Jacksonville and North Florida … Lists steak and banana pudding as her favorite foods … Says Drew Brees is her favorite athlete … Graduated with a degree in social work.
