Alyse Shayer Bio
McKissick Scholar/Capstone Scholar
Alyse returns as a senior to the cross country team. After suffering several injuries her sophomore and junior years, she hopes to stay healthy for her final season and help the Gamecocks to a successful season.
In high school, Alyse lettered in cross country and track for four years. She was her team[apos]s Most Valuable Runner and Outstanding Senior. She was Most Valuable Athlete and was a four-time California state meet participant.
As a rising senior, Alyse interned at State Farm Insurance. In five years, she hopes to be settling down with an actuarial job and family, after traveling for a few years. She is a member of Pi Mu Epsilon, a national mathematics fraternity and is the daughter of Steve and Karla Shayer.
