Indoors: Made finals in five of her seven appearances in the 60mH during the indoor season… Clocked the sixth-fastest time in program history at the USC Indoor Open to earn a runner-up finish and her new personal record… Was the winner of the 60mH at the Clemson Opener and the Tiger Paw Invitational… Took 10th at the SEC Championships with a time of 8.33 in the 60mH… Participated in the 60m at the USC Indoor Open and made an appearance in the 200m at the Dr. Sander Challenge.
Outdoors: Appeared in seven outdoor meets, making the finals in the 100mH in three of the five meets that had finals… Started the outdoor campaign with a first-place finish at the Buccaneer Invitational… Qualified for the NCAA East Regional… Had a season-best time of 13.51 at the Gamecock Inviational in the prelims… Competed in the 4x100m relay in five meets, helping post the second-fastest time of the season at 43.97 at the Spec Towns Invitational, where they won the event… Was a part of the winning 4x100m relay team at the USC Outdoor Open… Helped the Shuttle Hurdle Relay win the 125th Penn Relays with a time of 56.22… Ran the Sprint Medley Relay at the Florida Relays, taking 11th with a time of 4:05.80, good enough for the fifth-fastest time in program history… Made an appearance in the 100m at the Spec Towns Invitational, taking fifth with a time of 11.73…
2018
Indoors: Had success in both the 60m and the 60m hurdles… finished fourth in the 60m at the Navy Winter Invitational and second at the UCS Invitational with a PR of 7.57… stood out in the 60m hurdles, winning the Navy Winter Invitational and the UCS Invitational… also made the finals in the event at the Columbia Challenge… ran a PR of 8.31 at the SEC Championships to finish 11th… that time ranked eighth in Carolina history at the conclusion of the season.
Outdoors: Cranked it up a notch in the 100m hurdles while earning relay All-America laurels for the second-straight season… won the 100mH at the USC Open while adding podium finishes at the Gamecock Invitational and Penn Relays… ran 13.24 in the Penn Relays final, a new PR and the ninth-best effort in Carolina history… finished 13th at the SEC Championships and qualified for the NCAA East Regional for the first time, placing 26th… led the 4x100m relay to three podium finishes, including a victory at the USC Open… scored for the Gamecocks at the SEC Championships as the 4×1 finished eighth… also led the 4×1 to an eighth-place finish at the NCAA East Regional with a season-best time of 44.02… was part of the 4×1 crew that finished 14th at the NCAA Championships to earn second-team All-America laurels.
2017
Indoors: Competed primarily in the 60m hurdles and the long jump… Made finals in the 60mH at the Clemson Invitational, Vanderbilt Invitational and Armory Invitational… placed fourth at Clemson in a personal-best 8.42… added a sixth-place result at the Armory… finished 16th at the SEC Championship, running 8.47… had her best long jump effort at the Armory, a PR mark of 18-10 3/4 to finish ninth… placed 25th in the long jump at the SEC meet.
Outdoors: Ran the 100m hurdles three times, with a season-best 13.93 at the Gamecock Invitational… ran the 4x100m relay once during the regular season, part of a third-place effort at the USC Open… rejoined the 4×1 squad at the NCAA Championships, running the opening leg as the team finished in 44.65… the 14th-place result at nationals was good for a second-team All-America nod.
2016
Indoors: Ran her top 60m hurdles time at the conference championship, running 8.48 in the prelims to finish 16th… also had her top long jump at SECs, reaching 5.72 meters (18-11 1/4) to take 18th overall… had two top-10 finishes in the long jump, topped by a second-place finish at the USC Open #1.
Outdoors: Ran her best 100m hurdles time at the Spec Towns Invite, crossing in 13.95 (4.5) for 11th place overall… competed in the long jump at one meet, reaching 5.66 meters (18-7) at the Shamrock Invite… also ran on the 4x100m and shuttle hurdle relay teams.
HIGH SCHOOL
Won the state long jump title, helping to lead Western Branch to a state title in 2014… part of a shuttle hurdle relay team that set a new national record at the New Balance Nationals… three-time Shuttle Hurdle Relay champion at Outdoor Nationals, and 2015 Indoor Nationals champion in the event… 2014, 2015 Chesapeake Sports Club Best Female Athlete Award… 2014 Norfolk Sports Club Best Female Athlete Award… 2014 Portsmouth Sports Club Best Female Athlete Award… Western Branch High School Most Outstanding Female Athlete as a senior… All Region… High School All-American… also lettered in cross country.
PERSONAL
Born Nov. 5, 1996… daughter of Scott and Debra Parks… has two younger siblings, Skylar and Justin… plans to major in retail management… also considered Ohio State, Kentucky, UNC, Florida, Florida State, Texas A&M, Oregon, but chose Carolina because of the team atmosphere, the facilities and the coaching staff.
