Indoors: Improved steadily during her sophomore season in Columbia… Competed in a total of six meets, all in weight throw… Set personal record in the at the SEC Championships with a mark of 16.92m (56-6 1/4) to take 18th, the second-best mark on the team during the indoor season… Had a pair of seventh-place finishes, including at the USC Indoor Open with a mark of 16.07m (52-8).
Outdoors: Improved in Discus in second season with the Gamecocks, taking part in three outdoor meets… Set a personal record in the Discus at the USC Outdoor Open with a toss of 40.30m (132-2) to take second place…. Took fifth at the Buccaneer Invitational in Discus…. Finished in fourth at the Buccaneer Invitational in the Hammer Throw with a mark of 40.86m (134-1).
2018
Indoors: Competed in the weight throw at six meets… had her best effort at the Tiger Paw Invitational, throwing 16.43m (53-11).
Outdoors: Took part in both the hammer throw and the discus… had her best hammer mark at the Black & Gold Challenge, with an effort of 44.25m (145-2)… finished sixth in the discus at the USC Open with a PR effort of 36.04m (118-3).
2017

High School
Was a four-year letterwinner at Garnet Valley HS, where she served as team captain in her senior year… Was a two-time District 1 PIAA AAA Champion in both shot put and discus… Won the Indoor Meet of Champions in the shot put… Was a four-time state medalist and a Penn Relays qualifier… Competed at New Balance Nationals, both indoor and outdoor… Was a four-time First-Team All-Delco honoree and a seven-time recipient of the Ambassador Award… Was awarded the Greg Smith Memorial Award… Earned her high school’s Outstanding Female Athlete award… Was on the honor roll throughout her high school career and also lettered in swimming.
Personal
Daughter of Anthony and Mary Kay Gambacorta… Has three siblings: Claire, Mia and Julia… Chose South Carolina over Iowa, San Diego State, Miami and Penn… Picked the Gamecocks because of the amazing coaching staff and the positive, caring, supportive environment present throughout the team.
