Danielle Franklin

Life Scholar

Danielle is entering her senior year as a Gamecock and hopes to help lead the team to a successful season. As a junior, she had problems with severe shin splints and was not able to race as often as she had hoped. After a long summer of training at Owens Field and in the weight room, she looks forward to competing at the level she knows she is capable of achieving.

She was a member of Greer High School[apos]s cross country team from 1999 to 2004. As a senior and captain, she helped her team to its third-consecutive state championship. She was also named all-state.

Danielle keeps a very detailed calendar to help balance cross country and school. She plans to attend law school after graduation. Three words Danielle uses to describe herself are ‘sarcastic, Southern and friendly.’ Her parents are Danny and Teresa Franklin.
