2011: Indoors, competed in the high jump … had a top mark of 5-6 (1.68m) at the Tyson Invitational … placed 15th at the SEC Indoor Championships at 5-04.25 (1.63m).

2010: Indoors, had a top mark of 5-7 (1.70m) in the high jump at the Clemson Games … tied for 10th at the SEC Indoor Championships at 5-5 … Outdoors, had a top mark of 5-7 (1.70m) to place sixth at the SEC Outdoor Championships.

2009: Indoors, took seventh at both the Tom Jones Memorial and the New Balance Collegiate at a mark of 5-2 1/4 … tied for fifth at the Tyson Invitational … won the Gamecock Invitational at 5-5 … cleared a season best 5-07 1/4 to place fourth at the SEC Indoor Championships … took fifth at the NCAA Last Chance Meet … outdoors, placed third at the Weems Baskin Relays … won the State USATF meet at 5-5 … took second at the Friendship & Freedom Games … cleared 5-3 at the SEC Outdoor Championships.

2008: Indoors, opened the season with a third place finish in high jump at UNC Classic at 5-4 ¼ … placed 10th at the Tom Jones Memorial Classic at 5-5 … fifth at the New Balance Collegiate … third place finish at the Tiger Invitational for a personal best 5-8 … won the Gamecock Invitational … scored at the SEC Indoor Championships with a 5-5 ¾ for a seventh place finish … placed fourth at the NCAA Last Chance Meet … outdoors, placed sixth at the Auburn Tiger Classic and third at the Spec Towns Invitational.

HIGH SCHOOL: Coached by Steve Wilson at Summerville High School … lettered in track and basketball … Nike Outdoor National All-American in high jump … five-time all-state selection and three-time member of all-region team … a two-time state champion in the high jump … state runner-up in 100m hurdles … also a state runner-up as a member of 4x400m relay team.

PERSONAL: Kayla Christina Blake was born Dec. 5, 1988 … pursuing a degree in fashion merchandising … parents are Harry and Annette Blake … chose USC over Georgia Tech.
