Indoors: Ran the 5000m at the Clemson and Tiger Paw Invitationals… finished sixth in her season-opener, with a season-best time of 18:53.32
Outdoors: Ran the 5K twice, finishing 13th at both the Spec Towns Invitational and Gamecock Invitational… turned in a season-best 19:05.68 at the Georgia meet… ended her season running the 3000m at the USC Open, finishing 11th in 10:55.10.
2016 Cross Country (Freshman)
Ran in four races during her first semester … Tallied her best collegiate 5K time in her debut in the Carolina Challenge, clocking a 20:01.20 and finishing 29th overall … Ranked 20th among Division I competitors at the 33rd Winthrop/adidas Invitational (20:17.5) … Helped South Carolina win the Gamecock Invitational, ranking fourth with a time of 12:20.10 … Posted her only 6K time of 24:00.3 in the Crimson Classic.

Daughter of Joe and Nancy Buechler … Her father ran track and cross country at Auburn … Two uncles played tennis (Mark) and track/cross country (David) at Clemson … Has two siblings, older sister Julia and younger brother Paul … Chose SC over Georgia, Auburn and Northwestern because she loved everything the school had to offer both academically and athletically.
