Indoors: Ran the mile at the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational, coming in 27th with a time of 5:35.80.
Outdoors: Competed twice in the 1500m… had her best effort at the USC Open, when she placed 12th with a time of 5:06.69.
High School
Competed for Camarillo High School and in two California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section Cross Country Championships, finishing a personal best of 41st as a senior (18:13.34)… Tallied her top three-mile cross time of 17:42.1 as a sophomore … Posted a 19:49.5 in her lone 5K outing of 2016 in the Ventura County Championships… A four-time team most valuable runner in cross country… Outdoors, finished the 3200m at the 2014 Ventura County Championships in a personal-best time of 11:15.29 to finish sixth… At 1600m, clocked a career-best 5:14.72 in a dual against Oak Park as a senior… Indoors at 1500m, she ranked 19th in the Winter Track & Field Championships with a 4:57.21 time… Competed in the prelims twice at the CIF SS meet at 800m… Her best 800m outdoors came in 2015 (2:21.01 in the Coastal Canyon League Finals)… Her track team’s most valuable distance runner as a freshman and sophomore before claiming team MVP accolades as a senior… Team captain for both cross country and track as a senior… Also lettered one year in soccer… Named Camarillo’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year… Also the co-valedictorian of her class.
Personal
The daughter of Joe and Karen Yturralde… Has one older sister, Ally… Chose South Carolina over TCU, Northeastern and Vanderbilt, among others, because of the honors college and athletic opportunities… Majoring in biology for the pre-med track.
