Named to All-SEC Freshman Team…Season scoring average of 75.73 was the third-best freshman season in school history, behind teammates Katie Burnett (75.27 in 2009) and Benedicte Toumpsin (75.61 in 2007)…Played in every tournament as a freshman… Tied teammate Katie Burnett for the top finish in the season-opening NGCA Match Play Qualifier, tying for third place after shooting 72-72=144 (E)…Best round came in the opening round of the NCAA East Regional as she shot 70 (-2) to help the team to a first-day 283 (-5), eventually claiming the team title…Posted four rounds of par or better during the season…Tied for 28th at SEC Championship, shooting 74-74-72=220 (+7) in her first conference championship as a Gamecock…Named to Sweden[apos]s National Team for the European Ladies Team Championship.

Attended ProCivitas private gymnasium from 2006-09…Ranked fifth among Skandia Tour Elite girls in 2009, second among all 19-year-olds…Played in six STE tournaments, winning two events…Played in a Ladies[apos] European Tour event in 2008…Was ranked at the top of her age division as a 13-year-old and again at age 16…Won a Junior Masters Invitation tournament…Finished third on the Skandia Tour Elite in 2006…Finished fifth in Spanish Open Ladies Amateur Championship in 2009…Helped her team to the gold medal at the European Girls Team Championship in 2008 and fifth place in 2009…Helped her team to gold and silver at the South of Sweden competition for juniors…Won gold at the Nordic Championships and silver at the Junior Swedish Masters.

Full name is Amanda Ellen Ingvarsdotter Sträng…Born Feb. 17, 1990 in Jonstorp, Sweden…Parents are Ingvar and Peggy Sträng…Father was a goalkeeper in the highest ice hockey league in Sweden…Chose South Carolina because she felt like part of the team after only two days in Columbia and because of the campus and golf facilities.
