2008-09 (JUNIOR): Elevated her game to an even higher level as a junior … Ended the season with a 31-7 record in singles to mark her second 30-win season in her three years with the program … Just the second player in school history to post multiple 30-win seasons … Her 23-4 record in dual matches was the most victories by a Gamecocks since 1987 and tied for the third most dual wins in school history … Began the spring ranked No. 14 in the nation to fall one place shy of tying the school record for highest singles ranking held by current assistant coach Katarina Petrovic … Zubori knocked off four players ranked in the top 50 of the ITA fall preseason rankings to earn the lofty national billing in January … A member of the All-SEC First Team, becoming only the third player in school history to receive first-team accolades … One of only four players in Carolina history to snag All-SEC honors three times in her career … Ended the season ranked No. 43 in singles and was No. 27 in doubles with partner Natasa Vuckovic … Zubori and 2009 senior Gira Schofield became the first Gamecocks to post season-ending rankings in singles and doubles in the same year three times during their careers … Has improved her final singles ranking each year from 108th to 73rd to 43rd … Done likewise in doubles going from 40th to 34th to 27th … Will enter her senior year with an 84-24 career singles record, a 77.8 percent winning percentage that ranks fifth in school history … Also stands two singles wins shy of cracking the top 10 and is three away in doubles … Her 145 combined victories in her career is already 10th on the Gamecocks’ all-time list heading into her senior season … Went a remarkable 15-4 playing singles matches against ranked opponents … Became a three-set specialist for the Gamecocks, going 10-3 in matches that went the distance to tie a school record for three-set wins held by two others … Qualified for both the NCAA Singles Championship and the Doubles Championship for the first time her career … The first Gamecock to earn a place in both NCAA events in the same year since 2002 … Lost her first-round NCAA singles match to the tourney’s No. 2 seed Julia Cohen of Miami (Fla.) 7-6(4), 6-3 … She and Vuckovic were defeated by the No. 1 seed in the first round of doubles 6-2, 6-4 … Named the Gamecocks’ MVP for the second time in her career … Winner of AgSouth Female Athlete of the Year for the second year in a row, an award determined through an online fan poll at GamecocksOnline.com … Played every dual match of the spring at No. 2 singles and went 9-2 in Southeastern Conference matches … A huge contributor for the team in postseason play … Went 4-0 in singles in the Gamecocks’ four NCAA Tournament matches to help them advance to the Elite Eight, the furthest the team has advanced in its history … Won quickly in the Gamecocks’ first-round match with Wake Forest by upending Sierra Poske 6-3, 6-1 to put the team ahead 2-0 … In the second round against No. 10-seeded and ranked Tennessee, Zubori won in three sets over Natalie Pluskota 6-2, 5-7, 6-4 to beat the Lady Vols’ star freshman for a third time that spring … With South Carolina leading Washington 3-0 in the round of 16, Zubori won another three-setter over Denise Dy 6-2, 2-6, 7-5 to provide the clinching point that propelled the Gamecocks into the quarterfinals … Won easily against Yvette Hyndman of Georgia in the quarterfinals 6-3, 6-3 in the Gamecocks’ narrow 4-3 loss to the No. 2 Bulldogs … During the fall, Zubori reached the finals of the Furman Fall Classic and Wildcat Invitational at Northwestern playing in the top flight of each tournament … She and Vuckovic won the top flight of doubles at the Northwestern tournament by defeating teammates Schofield and Miljana Jocic in the finals … Began the spring by winning her first seven matches, including a three-set battle against Kateryna Yergina of VCU when the team score was tied 3-all to give South Carolina a consolation victory at the ITA Kickoff Weekend in Durham, N.C. … Zubori’s performance earned her SEC Player of the Week honors for the first time in her career … Following a loss at Clemson, she recovered to win nine matches in a row, four of which came versus players ranked in the top 100 at the time of the matches.

2007-08 (SOPHOMORE): Provided South Carolina with another impressive season … Compiled a 22-11 singles record while going 20-14 in doubles matches … Named to the All-SEC Second Team for the second time in a row … After winning AgSouth Athlete of the Week, an honor bestowed upon a South Carolina student-athlete each week by the athletics department, she was overwhelming voted AgSouth Female Athlete of the Year in an online fan poll at GamecocksOnline.com … Named one of the 10 Most Intriguing People in USC Sports in the inaugural issue of Go Gamecocks The Magazine, a publication by The State newspaper … A member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll for the second consecutive year … Ranked among the top 85 players in the country in singles the entire season … Reached a career-high of No. 56 in late February before finishing 73rd … Placed No. 13 in the final singles rankings of the ITA Southeast Region … Ascended as high as No. 9 in the country for doubles playing with Gira Schofield … The duo ended the year ranked 34th and qualified for the NCAA Doubles Championship with an at-large bid … Zubori and Schofield placed sixth in the final regional rankings … Finished second on the team in dual-match singles victories with a 14-6 record and went 7-3 at the second spot in SEC contests … Ending her sophomore year with 94 combined singles and doubles wins, only five other players in school history won more matches in their first two years with the program … Had a somewhat slow start to her sophomore year in the fall at her first tournament, but came back the following weekend to win the second flight of the Furman Fall Classic … Beat Vanderbilt’s Catherine Newman, ranked 27th at the time, 6-4, 6-1 in the championship match … Nearly beat one of Florida State’s top players, Lauren Macfarlane, in the qualifying draw of the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships when she lost 7-4 in a third-set tiebreaker … Won six of her first seven matches in the spring in singles … Was one of South Carolina’s three singles winners versus Vanderbilt, helping down the Commodores 4-3 … Vandy was ranked 14th at the time and finished the season with a No. 10 national ranking … Defeated Newman in three sets 6-7(5), 6-2, 7-5 to even the team score at 3-all … After a four-match unbeaten streak from March 15-28, Zubori suffered a tough break in her match with Arkansas’ Ela Kaluder on March 30 … Zubori won the first set 6-2 and with the score tied 4-4 in the second, Zubori ran for a wide ball on the right side of the indoor court and injured her knee in the process and was unable to finish … Zubori managed to come back the following weekend against Alabama and Auburn and went 1-1 … Bad luck struck again at the SEC Tournament, though, when she sprained an ankle running for a ball in the third set of her match with Auburn’s Alex Haney on April 17 … Stayed on the court after an injury timeout and continued to play until the match was suspended after the Tigers had clinched … Won her singles match versus VCU in the first round of the NCAA Tournament against Viktoria Konstantinova 6-4, 6-3 to help the Gamecocks advance … Playing doubles with Schofield, the duo’s 10-3 fall record helped them crack the top 10 when the spring rankings were released in January … One of their fall victories came against Clemson’s team of Mijacika/van Adrichem, who were No. 2 in the country at the time … Also beat then-No. 10 Whoriskey/Zubor of Tennessee, who went on to win the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships … At the SEC Fall Coaches Classic, Zubori and Schofield downed then-No. 6 Haney/Koning of Auburn … The duo had winning streaks of five, four and seven matches during the season … They stood 16-3 after a win against N.C. State in February … Zubori and Schofield won tournament titles at the Furman Fall Classic and the Southern Intercollegiate Championships playing in the top flights.

2006-07 (FRESHMAN): Recorded one of the most remarkable years for a rookie in South Carolina history … Her 31 victories in singles matches tied for fifth on the Gamecocks’ single-season top 10 list and was the most in one year by a player since 1990 … Zubori’s 83.8 percent winning percentage placed sixth on the school’s all-time single-season list … With 52 overall victories between singles and doubles, Zubori’s total tied for ninth-most in one season at Carolina … Earned a spot on the All-SEC Second Team and was named team MVP along with Natasa Vuckovic … Had a 13-3 fall that was followed by an 18-3 record in dual matches … Finished second on the team in dual victories … Went 13-2 at No. 2 singles and owned an overall SEC mark of 8-3 … Went 15-1 in regional matches and finished with a ranking of No. 19 in the ITA Southeast Region … Cracked the national rankings for the first time in April at 83rd … Ended the spring ranked No. 108 … In doubles, Zubori was 21-12 and 11-9 playing the top position with Gira Schofield as her partner … The duo entered the rankings in February and stayed there the rest of the season, reaching a high of 18th in late March before ending 40th … For the Southeast Region, Zubori and Schofield were ranked No. 10 at season’s end … A member of the SEC Freshmen Academic Honor Roll … Won the first seven matches of her career in the fall and 11 of her first 12 overall … Took home the flight 3 title at the Furman Fall Classic and reached the final of the USTA National Tennis Center Invitational’s A flight … Also crowned champion of the A-1 flight at the Southern Intercollegiate Championships … Began the dual-match campaign with a string of eight consecutive victories and won 13 of her first 14 … During the eight straight wins, Zubori won all the matches in straight sets and claimed 38 games in a row at one point … Her 6-2, 5-7, 6-4 win over Caitlin Whoriskey of Tennessee at No. 3 singles helped the Gamecocks defeat the Lady Vols in Knoxville, Tenn., for the first time since 1993 … Won another critical match at LSU by scores of 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 versus Mykala Hedberg at the second singles position, as Carolina beat the Tigers 4-3 … Defeated Kentucky’s Kim Coventry 6-3, 6-3 in another 4-3 victory for South Carolina that gave the Gamecocks a bye in the first round of the SEC Tournament … Coventry was ranked as high as 15th during her college career … Zubori’s 6-3, 6-4 win against Megan Alexander of Florida marked the first of her career over a top-25 foe, as Alexander was 20th at the time … Finished the season riding a three-match unbeaten streak against players from Florida, Tennessee and Wichita State … Reached the final of the A flight doubles at the SEC Fall Coaches Classic after winning three matches with Schofield … During the spring, they defeated Kever/Schmitt from Marshall 8-3, a tandem ranked No. 27 at the time … Followed a week and a half later with an 8-3 triumph over then-No. 15 Y. Hyndman/Ivanov of Georgia … Zubori/Schofield had a winning streak of seven matches during the spring and won 11 of 12 after losing the first match of the spring.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played in the main draw of several major junior tournaments, including the Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon … Was the French National Junior Tennis Championship winner in the under-14 and under-16 divisions … Claimed the under-18 title at the Serbian National Junior Tennis Championship and did likewise in the over-18s … Zubori won four International Tennis Federation junior tournaments … Ranked in the top 10 in the under-16s in Europe and was among the top 50 in the world for the under-18s … Held a career-high Women’s Tennis Association singles ranking of No. 707 in April 2005 … Her best in doubles was No. 827 in August 2005 … Made the semifinals of a tournament in Le Touquet, France, in July 2004 by defeating two seeded players, including the tourney’s No. 1 seed … Was a quarterfinalist at three other tournaments.
