Leah Lott joined the University of South Carolina athletics department in September 2021 as the student-athlete development coordinator.

Her primary responsibilities consist of planning and executing the Financial Education and SPURS Up programs annually. Lott acts as the primary advisor for the student-athlete advisory council (SAAC). Prior to South Carolina, Lott worked at The Ohio State University’s student-athlete support services office (SASSO) as an assistant academic advisor and assistant student-athlete engagement coordinator. She mentored at-risk student-athletes while helping develop their time-management, organization, and communication skills. In the student-athlete engagement space, she served as the co-advisor for the minority female student-athlete organization, SHEROS, and created content for SASSO’s social media accounts.

A native from Virginia Beach, Va., Lott graduated from Mississippi State University with both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in sport administration. She worked as a graduate student intern in the office of student-athlete development where she created the eight-week long bulldogs experiential learning internship program for MSU student-athletes.

Lott was a member of MSU’s track and field team as a hurdler and long-jumper. A highly decorated student-athlete, she earned numerous All-America, all-academic, SEC Community Service Team, and SEC Honor Roll awards and is a member of the 4x100m hurdles school-record-holding relay team.
