2012-13 – One of the Gamecocks[apos] top breaststrokers…Swam in every meet during the regular season and at the SEC Championships…Advanced to the B final in the 100 breaststroke and finished 16th overall with a B cut of 55.05…Also competed in the 50 freestyle (35th, 20.75) and the 200 breaststroke (28th, 2:03.53)…Swam a 54.92 in the 100 breaststroke preliminary, the fourth fastest time in school history…Had the team[apos]s fastest time in the 100 breaststroke (54.92) and ranked fifth in both the 50 freestyle (20.75) and 200 breaststroke (2:03.53)…Helped the Gamecocks set school records in the 200 medley relay (1:26.95) and 400 medley relay (3:11.83) at the SEC Championships…Was a part of one relay win during the regular season…Named to the SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll.

2011-12 – Swam in every meet…Posted the third best times by a Gamecock on the season in the 50 freestyle (20.89) and 100 breaststroke (56.08) with both coming at the SEC Championships…Had team[apos]s fourth best time in the 100 freestyle with a mark of 46.23 at the SEC Championships…Recorded a season-bet finish of fifth place in the 100 breaststroke against Clemson (59.45) and East Carolina (59.88).

AT WEST VIRGINIA – Swam the freestyle and breaststroke events for the Mountaineers for the last two season…Two-time Big East All-Academic selection….Had the 20th best time in the Big East in 2010-11 in the 50 free (20.94) and 12th best time in the 100 breaststroke (5.96).

PRE-COLLEGE – Graduated from St. Joseph[apos]s Catholic School…Three-year captain…Named team MVP all four years…Three-time South Carolina Independent Schools Association Swimmer of the Year…Four-time SCISA All-State honoree…State record holder in the 50, 100 and 200 free…Led St. Joseph[apos]s to 2005, 2006, and 2008 SCISA state titles…Is a 13-time SCISA state champion…State record holder in the long course 100 breaststroke…Named High School Sports Report SCISA Swimmer of the Year in 2006 and All-State from 2006-08…Member of the Y-Spartaquatics club team…Helped lead Y-Spartaquatics to 2006, 2007 and 2008 YMCA long course national titles…Was a 14-time YMCA All-American.

PERSONAL – Born August 28, 1991…Parents are Kim and Collette Kauffman…Has two brothers, Jared and Bradley, and one sister, Kristen…Jared is a swimmer at Ohio State…Majoring in finance.
