Jangy Addy (Tennessee) – Men’s Decathlon
“I came here trying to get points for the team. I got out on a good pace and just brought it home. Hopefully our team will get on a roll now too. I’m proud of the effort from Michael Ayers. His score should get him to nationals, too. God has been good to me, allowing me to stay healthy the last two years.”
Marrissa Harris (Mississippi State) – Women’s Heptathlon
“I feel I did very well. I was pretty consistent. The 800m was a little slow, but overall I scored 5600, so I am pretty happy.”
Cory Martin (Auburn) – Men’s Hammer Throw
“We did what we needed to do. We wanted to get 18 points out of it and that’s what we did. I was happy with my performance. I came in a little excited. I have to work on that. This meet was a good stepping stone to show me where I am at this point in the season. I am definitely looking forward to regionals and nationals.”
Tyson David (Alabama) – Men’s 10,000m
“Actually, it was a fast race, but that is what I expected. I tried to pace myself around the turns. I just put the effort in today and had a successful day.”
Rebecca Lowe (Florida) – Women’s 10,000m
“It feels really cool to be the SEC champion. It was my first time running the 10,000m, so I didn’t really know what to expect. I just stayed with the pack and waited for two laps to go and then went. I am happy with my performance tonight especially since I really didn’t know what to expect coming in.”
