The University of South Carolina Gamecocks slipped eight spots in both the Associated Press and USA Today/Coaches’ polls, announced today. The Gamecocks check in at 23rd in the A.P. poll and 25th in the USA Today/Coaches’ poll.
The Gamecocks are 6-3 on the season, 3-3 in the Southeastern Conference, following a 27-24 overtime loss at Tennessee on Saturday. They have three regular season games remaining, including a pair of SEC tilts.
The Gamecocks will travel to Fayetteville this weekend to take on SEC rival Arkansas (5-3, 1-3 SEC) on Saturday, Nov. 3. Game time is set for 8:00 p.m. ET (7 p.m. CT) at Reynolds Razorback Stadium (72,000). The game will be televised nationally on either ESPN or ESPN2. That announcement is expected to come on Monday.
